Busan Trip

I went to Busan for two days and two nights which is generally short as I recommend going for a couple more days and going on a weekend. Busan is the second largest city in Korea and a great travel spot for locals and tourist as it is known for its seafood, culture, and location near the sea. The first thing our group was get a spicy seafood stew from local restaurant by our hotel in Haeundae. In Haeundae it is extremely close to the beach so our hotel was about a five minute walk from the beach and had many local shops, stalls, and markets. Afterwards, we walked around Haeundae eating from some of the stalls there and there was an extremely good hotteok place. Unforunately, the  Busan Sky Capsule was sold out and the Songdo Glass Cable Car activity was closed but we went on a yacht tour at night that went around Gwangalli beach and under the bridge with a firework show included. There was also a really nice cafe that we went to called RenDejaVous that had a great view of the beach and sunset with a unique interior design.  In Busan, it is different than in Seoul as in there are limited eating options late at night depending on the area but we managed to find a barbeque place and a stew place for dinner.  During the second day we started off buying pastries at a cafe near our hotel called Cafe Knotted which has multiple shops around Korea and took the bus to Huinnyeoul Culture Village. It was a village along the coastline and has a nice walking pathway decorated with murals, art, and shops. There were cafes, small eateries, and souvenir shops all along the pathway and places you could take pictures with extremely nice views. We then went to BIFF Square during the afternoon which had loads of street food stalls for cheap prices. The square also had an arcade that offered disco pang pang, a ride where you sit on the edges of a ring and the operator spins you around at fast speeds. Since it was Friday night, we went to Gwangalli beach to see the drone show but it is only on weekends. On the upside, you are able to purchase your own fireworks for about 4-5,000 won depending on the ones you want and you can shoot them over the ocean.

Part 2

I visited Busan for another weekend to go try some of the activities I was unable to do during my first stay. I managed to walk around the Gamcheon Culture Village, known for their picture spots and light colored buildings. I was also able to go to the Jagalchi Fish Market where you are able to buy seafood on the first floor, take it up to their second floor, and pay a small fee for people to cook it or cut it for you. One place I would definitely go back for because I could've spent an entire day there is the Shinsegae Centrum City Mall or just Shinsegae Mall, the largest department store in the world. It has many shops that I would want to see, quite a few food options in their food court, and also entertainment attractions like a spa and cinema. I also finished the trip at Gwangali Beach to light up sparklers and fireworks we bought at the convenience store.
